So we're hearing about redundancies at EY and ACN, PA and EDS have both jeopardised their futures with major incidents with data loss, but no really bad news yet on CG. I actually feel pretty confident that we'll do quite well in the course of the current recession - how do colleagues feel? I did hear a rumour that payrises have been frozen for Technology Services - anyone heard anything yet about prospects for payrises in Consulting?

Didn't cap lose some data this year too?

I'd put CG in the same camp as PA and EDS: damaged reputations (partly by external reportage, mainly self-inflicted) have put them in a tricky position for the downturn.I think the company will be bought in 2009, but at a much lower price than the sale that was rumored for 2008.

I wish I had your confidence but pay freezes aren't just for TS - they'll be for everyone lucky enough to keep their jobs.
