I'd be happy if it weren't for the ridiculous hours. Stress I can handle. Pressure and unbelievably high expectations I can handle. Micromanaging bosses I can handle. Even egos too. But not these stupid long hours.I think that it's basically a job for grads and workaholics who don't have much in the way of family commitments (read: not balanced individuals). For the rest of us, it's just not a feasible option.Great blog by the way, love it.

Just left an MBB firm after a couple of years. Plan on going back in the next year or two, absolutely loved it. Obviously not every day or every project - and some days were really sh*t - but overall, superb.

This is actually very funny.. This is a consulting forum but as soon as one says that the job is ok it is gonna be labelled as HRMBB doesnt need any advertisment here. I think that consulting is a demanding job, possibly like IB, even though less paid. If you dont like this job just go to some other forum.
