Can anybody give me information regarding the first round interview for IT consultant for BCS? Examples of group exercises, any tests, assessments or interview questions would be a good starting point. Basically information on what they are looking for!Thanks

The first stage is a written test of numerical and verbal reasoning - they gave me an example test which made me complacent - the actual test was a vastly more difficult task. Reading graphs and infering information form the data etc. not difficult but, as with all of these tests you need to be in practice get a book out of teh library and get in the mind set.

Interesting that you say that they made you complacent in terms of your interview tests. This is symptomatic if how IBM treat their new joiners. Tell the newbies that there is great training available, that the quality of assignments are top notch, and that the atmosphere in Southbank is wonderful. By the time you realize you’ve been stitched up, its too late. If you want a decent consulting career, join a decent consultancy. Steer clear of IBM
