HiI have recently completed my MBA, have around 3 years of Marketing experience from a non-EU country. I have been applying for jobs within Marketing and Consultancy for a month now, but nothing yet! I also applied in Accenture as a Graduate Joiner, but unfortunately my application did not go through. I speak 4 languages and I really want to start a career in consultancy with future prospects in working with international markets... At this level, I am wondering whether my job searching approach is efficient!? Can anyone please advise me on maybe a more "aggressive" approach and what kind of companies I should target. Many thanks.

IB, your situation is almost exactly the same as mine (though my experience has been in strategy consulting). Here's what I can recommend. You can find a couple of useful reports on this website: one lists the names of the most popular recruiting companies and websites, another one just gives you an overview of the sector and also has the names of some smaller players in the industry often overlooked by job seekers. Unfortunately, I cant give you exact links, just have a good look at this site, because it's probably the most useful source of information for folks like us. I'm now thinking of sending my CV for review (see the link above), though i'm not sure, because it costs almost J100. As for my search strategy, i've been sending my CV in response to several job postings, but got very few resplies so far. Let me know a little more about your job experience, so maybe we could have a more productive discussion. You can reply here or email me at pal_n@mail.ru

Hi guys:I am also in the same boat. I applied to many recruitment consultants through this site but very few replied. And the response was that either you have work authorization to work in UK OR have tons of experience. I got only 3 years of consulting experience which it seems is not enough. Any other job search approach that might work for guys like us ??
