Hi All - I have several years' post graduation experience, some in a consultative type role but no true 'consultancy' experience, as well as 2 qualifications, managed to get an interview with Cap Gemini and also to the last stage of Accenture's entry process but to no avail. I feel I'm stuck in a rut. Could anyone please suggest which smaller consultancies would be willing to listen to someone with experience but not in consultancy?

What type of experience are you talking about? Consider smaller boutique firms which are concentrating on your industry- or process-skills for example Kurt Salmon Acc. in textile retailing. Second option are inhouse consulting troups. Adress the top competition or follower of your current employer. They probably will value your experience and skills.. good luck hr
