Ok, lets resolve the salary question one in for all. Everyone writes their salary and grade, so the whole consulting forum here will have a clear picture of what to expect etc for role / age / salary / company. I start: I am a consultant in strat department of biggest mAnagement CoNsultancy, 3 years experience, 40k. no end of year bonus.

PA, Consultant, Business Transformation Group, 2 years experience, base 43K, trasport allowance 4K, 36% bonus last year (which is ok, but not so good compared to the 60+% of (a few)others in the practice).70% wage increase in 2 years, albeit from a low base

Blimey are things that bad? When I was an Anon CoNsultant back in 2000 with three years experience, I was on 37K + OT which brought my package to 50K and also thrown in a free central london flat on the Thames, since my office was based up north! What with inflation and no doubt the usual 50 hours a week that one is expected to do, then that's a wage reduction and within SITE as well! Oh the joys of working in a partnership! Happy days!

IBM BCS (ex-PwC), £60k + up to 12% bonus (but in reality I was graded as top 5% of performers and got less than 3%) + car package (£3k) + pension (£3.5k), so overall <£70k - and all this with 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE - no wonder I am looking elsewhere !

I didn't think there were any ex-PwC people left there for just that reason. I left last Summer, after 7 years, and haven't looked back ! It really is like a weight off your shoulders once you go. Are you in FM ? Try Goodman Masson, if so. I found them excellent.

60k, 22% bonus, and additional 13k a year in per diems w/ SAP Partnering firm in the US. just started working as a consultant about 5 months ago with 4 years industry experience. so, starting low but lots of room to learn and grow. expecting an additional 10% bonus as a raise in next couple of months.
