I'm a graduate who recently secured a job with Shell. I was wondering if after 3 years of working in Shell what position could I enter in a management consultancy company?

prob as consultant (2yrs experience), best bet is to leverage what your obvious knowledge will be - energy sector!

Get some decent experience then go do a (top-ranked) MBA.

It depends what advice will you be giving as a consultant, you know consultancy is very broad it could be engineering consulting which is very technical or coaching where you bring out the best in people. it could also be strategic where you use the synergy between many business fields...
