Hello - I would like to know if there are any Bain, BCG or Mckinsey consultants out there who publish posts. If so, a question: I currently work for Acn Strategy. How do you see this? Have you heard of transfers / recruitment via this elite department?

Children - I think you both need to grow up. SBA is no more an elite within ACN than MK, BCG and Bain are the super-beings that some of the posts here would have you believe.

If a firm has a client it is because there is somebody who needs the specific service of that firm which makes it elite in its niche. You are trying to use a grading logic to judge a complex system which is a human being, average and elite are subjective and not objective point of views. How about if I use this logic, People are complements and consultants are people hence consultants are complements and we as consultants are all needed to make companies grow.

arrogance or sentitivity
26.10.5 00:00

Hi. I am not a consultant. We have either some very sensitive or extremily arrogant consultants here on this site. Why do so many of you consultants identity ''who you are'' by who you work for. You dont have ownership in your consulting firms and probably have very minimal input into how your employer works. I will dare say your individual quality and style of work has very little to do with the Success of your employer- so why be so arrogant as to say that your employer is better then the next. Do any of you know about CEO HUBRIS (I hope all MBA graduates do) well I believe that on this site I would be safe to say that we would have more than our share of CONSULTANT HUBRIS. Try a little humility, its a breath of fresh air.

#0 So let me tell you why ACN is better

ACN Strategy
26.10.5 00:00

First the basics: BCG, BAIN and McKinsey do only Strategy work. ACN does everything showing our limitless ability to think multidimensional, a way of life missing at BCG, BAIN and McKinsey. Ofcourse, maybe thats the reason why McKinsey has had Partner Calls.....a fact for those who don't know this and claim to be consultants!More Fun Facts: ACN Strategy today has more McKinsey clients showing up and asking to fix what McKinsey screwed up for lots of $ than ever beforeACN has much bigger list of clientsACN is FAR bigger and ofcourse has outpaced industryOh did I mention how many McKinsey Principals and Partners contact ACN for jobs? Considering a whole lot of you are non-ACN guys, take your time to read through this, it takes time for wood to absorb.

ACN have in the past managed to lure some McK people, but they are few and far between. I emphasise 'lure' and by that with the share options etc. I be very surprised if McK people in droves are knocking on the doors to join an IT consulting firm, when the world is literally your oyster with regards to career opportunities. I say this as an ex-ACN consultant who now works for Bain.
