Really need your help.I really struggle with case studies for assessment centres. in particular, the ones for the likes of IT consultancies e.g. Accenture/ Cap GeminiMy main issue is TIME.For one, I tried to make notes as I went through and ended up not getting through all the reading, which messed me up.For another, I read through all the material quickly and only JUST managed to read through it all before time finished - Not giving me enough time to think about the points I wanted to make.I am starting to think, I have a very slow mind, which cant process information quickly.I really dont know what Im doing wrong and would REALLY REALLY appreciate any constructive help you guys could give. Thanks

I have the same problem Goose,

I find that you can generally spot patterns in Case Studies. In other words you don't have to read every word.
Try and think at a higher level and then drill down. An example:Company X has 3 problems - A Finance, HR and Technology challenge. Then state some evidence and a proposed solution. It is clear the current IT document management system has storage limitations... as we can see from page 48, many users cannot store documents larger than 50Kb. However the 40% of documents created by the finance team are 80kb or greater.
In consulting you are often given a whole plethora of documents and you have to read, absorb, ponder and then make recommendations.
Try to glean salient points and group up issues at a high level. Once you have done this, try and get some evidence to support your findings.

Hope this helps!
