Being offered a role at Cap Gemini as a senior consultant. What's the base salary for these guys? Also, nobody can tell me accurately where the SC grade comes in the pecking order, although I've got 10 years consulting experience.

Consulting structure is as follows: Associate Consultant (graduate level); Consultant; Senior Consultant; Managing Consultant; Executive Consultant; VPSalary varies quite widely depending on experience, which group you join, your expectations and probably your current earning powerOh and it's Capgemini not Cap Gemini

I am in a similar situation with respect to salary. Have had productive discussions with the TME practice at Capgemini, but have been told I would need to come in at top of SC level despite 10+ years industry experience and a brief stint in consulting with KPMG Consulting's ICE practice at Exec Consultant level (where I was on £70k at the top end of the scale). Have been on £75k+ for the past 4 years in industry, but Cap are talking about base of around £70k with a view to rapid progression to MC level. I really like the firm and the practice but don't want to sell myself short. Any views on whether this is a lowball offer/bad career move?
