Hi all,I currently work in a Big 5 consulting firm in their strategy department for 3 years now (Senior Consultant at the moment). I was wondering whether MBA is necessary for me to move ahead with my career? I would like to change to a pure strategy house in the future so do you guys think it's necessary (e.g. M/B/B or Marakon, Monitor etc)? or could I be recruited as an experienced hire without a MBA?Thanks!

It is not necessary, because you can move your career ahead without an MBA. However it is a good possibility, that is often considered to be a helpful qualification to have by candidates, and a desireable career asset for employers. That is the short answer.
