How about the culture of this issue in ACN? Just don't wanna make the mistake in the first step.(ex: lose the chance to have a performance review or annually bonus)

Hi They've come back. But the package is rather low as what I expected. My experience counts nothing, in this case, looking at what they offered. Of coz, they said they factored that already.

I spent 10 years at ACN (most of them enjoyable) and resigned last year to pursue other things. I found that 'experienced hires' generally got offered a higher salary than their current (to be attractive) and then the grade/role will be balanced against a) this salary - i.e. what rank (e.g. C2, M1, etc) commands that salary and b) some approximation of your skills against those in the equivalent ACN rank. Therefore, this can often feel like your experience has been overlooked. ACN's response to a challenge on this is usually about quality/capability expectations required at each level, etc. etc... to cut a long story short: my recommendation is to fully understand the grade you are being offered (assuming the salary is OK) and insist on using your first 6/12 months as a probationary period in which you expect to get a promotion to the next level. This will be fair because you will either recognise that ACN guaged your rank correctly or ACN will recognise that they under-estimated your capability. The alernative is you get stuck in a grade that makes you feel uncomfortable, the promotion structure is then quite rigid (for good reasons) and you will leave with 12-24 months! Good luck.
