I just got the offer with ACN. Of cource I know the standard dark suit for professional dressing, but I don't look good in dark color. Most of my siuts are in pink, sky bule, or the "baby colors". Can I wear those colors in a consulting firm and in front of the clients?

I work for ACN. Wear what you want. I have seen ladies in all sorts of scandalous outfits. Some of the girls show so much leg they may as well be GOGO dancers!!All that will happen when you wear your bright coloured suits is the other women will bitch about you behind your back

hi, Geezer, I guess the recriuting process is different country from country (I'm not in US). My suggestion is "Be honest & be yourself". Also not only describe yourself with a word, but use real examlpes, evidences to prove.

Thanks for the advice monica. I'm not actually in the US, but ratehr in the UK. I didn't even realise that this was a US based forum I always assumed it was UK based. Oh well. Where are you? I've had my 1st interview, next up is the assessment centre comprising of case studies and group exercises, woohoo. Any ideas on the cases, or how to perform well in group exercise. Thanks again

Firstly, Robert please grow up.Secondly, Monica i) I'm not at ACN & ii) at the end of day, you can wear whatever you want and your job performance will matter more but...business, and clients, are fickle. They often make first impressions and like tradition. So by wearing something unusual at work you are running the risk of getting yourself stereotyped. Its completely unfair and silly, I know, but if I was in that position I would rather not risk my career, however unimportant the reason is.Perhaps the best thing to do would be to buy at least 1 dark suit and start the first week of work in that. Then it i) stops colleagues from stereotyping & ii) allows you to assess the situation.By the way, if you interviewed in a pink suit then it's probably less of an issue!
