Hi All,A few years ago I posted this:http://forum.top-consultant.com/UK/37808/5/Bad-Decision-At-29Yrs-Grad-Schemes-IBM-Accenture-Capgemini-Etc/Now, several years later and having 'trained' as a BA, I'm ready to make a leap either into the contracting market or to another consultancy (e.g. Deloitte, IBM, Accenture). I'm facing a conundrum however: do I enter the contracting market (which I'm not unfamiliar with) and, if things don't go as expected, attempt to get a perm' position with companies like the aforementioned? Would it be more difficult after a period of contracting? Would I be foolish at this juncture to overlook the importance of having a better brand on my CV (one that might open more doors in the future)?Any thoughts would be welcomed. Many thanks,Karen (posting with another 'handle')

Karen,As a first step I'd drop the dating type subject matter.A brand name under your belt should open doors at a later juncture should you wish to go contracting.Regards,"Mature consultant WLTM lady consutant for fireside power point chats, excel excitement and the occasional Townhall meet, seriously needs to have a sense of humour, but all very PC , of course"
Karen,As a first step I'd drop the dating type subject matter.
Thank you for your reply but I'm inclined to disagree with you that my post reflects 'dating type subject matter'. The subject matter is implicit and in no way reflects dating. Perhaps the word 'seek' conjured memories from your own personal experience and primed you to manifest something that most definitely isn't indicative of my post.
A brand name under your belt should open doors at a later juncture should you wish to go contracting.
For this I thank you; for the rest I don't. I recommend you work on your diplomatic skills. Have a think about that. Seriously, 'dating type subject matter'. Even it it were (which, again, it isn't), of what relevance would that be, and how could you possibly think that by mentioning such a thing you would be well-received? Rhetorical. Get a life you spiteful, inadequate little weasel. And yes, that was warranted given your sarcastic approach.

But something that is indicative of your post is that you are an ungrateful, rude , old slapper!I would wish you best of luck but really I wouldn't want to end up working along someone like you.Reap what you sow!
