Can anyone recommend any good web sources to understand strengths/weaknesses/key focus/industries etc. of consulting firms?I'm primarily interested in finding out about Deloitte's consulting practice, but to keep it useful to others lets list them all!

DCIt appears that you've not done enough research or you are not paying enough attention to the details. It is obvious that there is "Guide about uk consulting firms" (as mentioned by Anon) provided in this site, as the icon is big enough and is flicking to catch anyone's attention. You need to pay >100% to the detail and alert to be a consultant.

Thanks for the advice Just, but seem to be managing fine as a consultant 3 years on....I also prefer not to rely on a single source of information when performing my analysis hence the more open post asking for a list.

DCThere are, out there, really good consultants, average consultants and some who tend to think/regard themsleves as consultants but I won't ....because they use use the consulting term loosely...eg Tour guie regarding themselves as consultant....Travel Consultant....
