thanks,Cap gives you two options tech consulting or management consulting. Keen to go for the management consulting route, would like to know whether they are strong in this area and if it's as good as they say on website...cheers

The "management consulting" route at Cap Gemini is still IT consulting, just with less technical focus than the "technology" route. Cap Gemini do a minimal amount of management consulting, and it is not an area that graduates are involved in so the CDC programme isn't a great choice if that is your area of interest.

Don't know why some people enjoy chatting rubbish like Cap Gemstone.grad, if you join the CDC programme like I did and now work in strategy in industry, you would be working mainly on transformation, supply chain and customer management projects using core consulting skills like workshop development, facilitation, data analysis, SLA development, process mapping and project management, and if lucky and competent, strategic analysis. The possibility of you doing technical work is as remote as Albania qualifying for the football world cup finale.

"transformation, supply chain and customer management projects using core consulting skills like workshop development, facilitation, data analysis, SLA development, process mapping and project management" RTFQ mate - at CapGem, these skills are applied to IT consulting, not management consulting. There's a difference, which if you're "work in strategy in industry" you'd have noticed somewhere along the way.

grad, in the management consulting space, Cap has a very good reputation in Change Management, IT advisory (including top line IT strategy advisory) and suppy chain management.I would recommend the CDC because I have seen that their is reasonable respect from industry and recruitment agent for Cap on your CV.Their have been exCDCers that have moved to working in strategy in investment banks, those that have moved to start-ups/industries with a lot of responsibilities and other successful shifts. That said, the brand equity is not in the league of MBBB, and to do well, you would have to seriously network and manage your own career to follow the direction you want by getting on the right projects.Tyre, why don't you outline the difference. It would be interesting to know what skills you regard as being applied to management consulting since you don't work in strategy in industry.

What is CDC? I can only think of "Cult of the Dead Cow" for some reason.
