I am due to have a Excel based Case Study Interview @ Efficio Consulting. Can anyone please help me with what i should expect in this interview? And where can i find samples of a excel case study? Any insights would be helpful. Thanks

I'd expect that the focus of the case study would still be the business problem (i.e. a procurement case study for Efficio). Excel is just the vehicle by which they are delivering the study. They could have described it as "computer-based" but by being more specific it gives you some forwarning and opportunity to brush up on your Excel skills.I like the idea. Arguably, it's a more realistic environment than a paper-based exercise and allows them to test both your thinking (approach to the case study) and practical skills (fluency to execute your ideas with Excel). The mrexcel.com website is a great resource for learning how to use Excel effectively. I'm afraid that I haven't come across a procurement case study to point you to though.

The 2nd message in this thread sums up the exam perfectly. We provide candidates a large spreadsheet of data (similar to what they would expect to find provided one of our clients should they end up working here) and they are asked to both interpret the data provided and then, using the functions of Excel, do a few different calculations. Candidates do not need procurement specific knowledge in order to pass.To my knowledge we are the only consultancy to conduct such a case study, which was designed in-house by a team of our consultants.
