I understand that BOH practice in Europe is now under Booz & Company. Is that right? Also I would like to listen to opinions on wether it is a bad time to join Booz in Europe at the moment or it is ok.Thank you in advance!

That's right. Booz Allen Hamilton split off its commercial consulting practice in the US and all consulting operations outside the US at the end of July. The spun off part is call Booz & Company. The Carlyle Group acquired the US Government practice of Booz Allen Hamilton. Not a bad time to join Booz in Europe. CEO is from London and likely the firm will explore opportunities in Europe more seriously.

Yes I think de-merger has been spawned by externalities, namely strategic re-positioning, process enhancements and balance sheet restoration and preservation. The Booz businss model is predicated on robust, enduring and durable work. The current gyrations in staff turnover and uncertain financial climate and sub-optimal asset based pricing mechanisms make a de-merger both practically desirable operationally feasible and strategically noteworthy ZB

Every time I read one of ZB's posts I wonder if he's just a Markov-Chain based "Eliza" program written by a deeply embittered IT consultant.

Mars, Evil Consultant and all you, process mapping, IT architecture, IT strategy, change management, programme management numbskulls, don't you realise the pathetic irony here: you ridicule and insult me for the jargon, impenetrable words and vagueness, when in fact the consulting industry is predicated on delivering such rubbish daily. How ironic that when someone who actually knows all the games and tricks of the trade starts doing the same to you, all you ACNers revert to 'oh what rubbish' and 'ohh what nonsense is ZB on about'By the way I was at client meeting with a team of ACNers, EY and other niche consultants and I posed the question: what does 'holistic design framework mean'..needless to say i got four different answers to this in the meeting. Proof that all you second-tier consultant are a bunch of charlatans.ZBZB

I'm a management consultant, not an IT consultant. Additionally, I don't work for Accenture. If you wish to appear at all credible then you should get the terminology right. The factors that you identify as externalities aren't. An externality is the effect on a third party of an economic transaction or activity, but in the context in which you list these factors, they are internal to Booz and therefore not externalities.

You talk about credibility, but can such a thing really exist here?Is it not possible, that no one on here is who they say they are and every time a recognized former name is used it's a different person in disguise?Just something to think about.
